As soon as the doors close, what really happens inside a restaurant? On Mystery Diners, a restaurant's owners call Charles Stiles and his team of undercover operatives to secretly investigate their establishments to uncover the truth about what's going on when the boss isn't around. Stiles sends his team of "Mystery Diners" in disguise to pose as customers, secretly recording the staff, inspecting the kitchen, and gathering enough evidence to convince the owners of what's really happening.

In Mystery Diners season 11 episode 9, titled "Lobster Looting," Stiles receives a call from Alex, one of the owners of Krush Grill and Bar. Alex has noticed that his profits are decreasing since he expanded his menu to include lobster dishes. He suspects that the lobsters, which are kept in a tank in the dining area, are being stolen. Alex wants to find out who is behind the theft and put a stop to it before he loses more money.

The mystery diners sent in by Stiles find some questionable behavior from the Krush staff. One of the servers, Jessica, serves lobster that is already out of its shell and onto a plate, instead of bringing the live lobster to the customer and cooking it on the spot. The diners find this suspicious and decide to investigate further.

Another diner, Joyce, orders lobster tacos, but when the dish arrives, she notices that the amount of lobster in the tacos is significantly less than what is advertised on the menu. Meanwhile, one of the mystery diners, Todd, talks to the chef, who mentions that he has seen some employees leaving the restaurant with what looks like Krush's lobsters.

Another incident occurs when a group of customers ask for a live lobster to be cooked for them. They are told that the restaurant has run out of lobsters, but they can put their name on a waiting list for when more lobsters arrive. However, Todd follows an employee who brings a lobster to his car in a plastic bag.

The mystery diners confront the employees who have been stealing the lobsters, one of whom is Jessica. When Jessica is caught, she admits to stealing the lobsters and selling them to a competitor who also serves lobster. The staff member who was taking the lobsters home was doing so to help Jessica out.

The mystery diners had enough evidence to present to Alex, who was shocked to learn that lobster theft was going on in his restaurant. Alex meets with the two employees who were caught stealing the lobsters and immediately fires them. He also takes steps to prevent such incidents from happening again.

In the end, Krush Grill and Bar is able to keep serving lobster dishes without worrying about theft. Thanks to the efforts of Charles Stiles and his team of mystery diners, the restaurant's owners can rest easy knowing their business is not being taken advantage of by its employees.

Overall, "Lobster Looting" is an exciting episode of Mystery Diners that demonstrates the importance of vigilance and undercover investigations to keep businesses running smoothly. The episode highlights the diversity of methods and techniques used by the mystery diners to gather the evidence needed to make sure the restaurant employees are behaving ethically. The interactions between the mystery diners and the Krush employees provide an engaging and entertaining viewing experience.
