Ep 4. Dueling Food Trucks

In season 7 episode 4 of Mystery Diners, titled "Dueling Food Trucks", the team takes on a unique case involving two rival food trucks in San Diego. Charles then comes up with a plan to find out who the culprits are by swapping the chefs from the two trucks. John and Leo both agree to this plan, and Charles brings in Chef Anthony over to work with Leo's team and Chef Eric over to work with John's team.

The Mystery Diners continue their observation of the food trucks. They notice that Chef Eric, while working with La Sirena, is deliberately sabotaging the food, undercooking it, and sending out food that's not even cooked. At the same time, Chef Anthony is doing an incredible job while working with John's team, producing tacos that are top-notch and highly appealing to the customers.

The Mystery Diners then reveal the findings to John and Leo, who are both surprised by the chefs' performances on their trucks. Charles confronts Chef Eric, who apologizes for his behavior and admits to sabotaging the tacos. He reveals that John hired him to spy on La Sirena, and that's why he was sabotaging their food.

Ultimately, John agrees to pay for the damages to La Sirena's business, stop copying their menu, and driving customers away. The owners of the food trucks make peace and agree to leave their past differences behind. Charles praises the team, and Mystery Diners closes another successful case.
