Naruto Uzumaki is an inquisitive and happy boy who grows up in a village called Konoha. Many citizens are unkind to the enthusiastic boy, and he does not understand why he is ostracized. He eventually discovers that there is a Demon Fox trapped inside him. The Nine-tailed Demon Fox was an evil creature who terrorized Konoha and killed many people. The Fourth Hokage was the military leader when this happened, and he gave his life to protect to the town. He saved everyone by sealing the creature inside Naruto. Naruto is not deterred when he learns the truth. He wants to become a Hokage and protect the town from danger.
The series follows Naruto's journey as he trains to be a ninja and fights many rivals. Naruto forms a team with two other ninjas who have a big impact on his life. Sasuke Uchiha is a revenge driven warrior to wants avenge his family's death that was at the hands of his brother. His tendency towards anger makes him Naruto's rival. However, there is more depth to this relationship as they also develop a bond and friendship. The other ninja is Sakura Haruno. She is initially portrayed as a foolish girl who has a crush on Sasuke. She grows as the series continues and becomes a love interest for Naruto.
Naruto and his teammates are the main characters in the series. They use their intelligence and skills to defeat many enemies. Naruto has the most interesting powers because he can clone himself. This provides him with camouflage and allows him to inflict more damage upon opponents. He can also draw on the powers of the Demon Fox inside of him.
The fantasy world in Naruto is elaborate, but it is essentially a story of a young boy trying to prove himself. This simple story mixed with wonder captivates many viewers.

Kakuzu, the other Akatsuki member, also appears, and the Hidden Leaf seemed destined to lose. Escape is impossible, and Asuma grimly goes over a battle strategy... The strategy comes as a shock to everyone, especially Shikamaru.

In order to capture the Akatsuki, the Hidden Leaf cast a net that even an ant could not crawl through. Still, the Akatsuki elude them and frustrate Tsunade to no end. Around that time, Asuma and the others arrive at the Fire Temple, only to find it completely destroyed. Chiriku's corpse is missing, and Asuma surmises that the Akatsuki were after the bounty on Chiriku's head. They immediately dispatch a messenger to Hidden Leaf to submit a report and head for the nearest center where the Akatsuki can turn in Chiriku's body for payment. Back at Hidden Leaf, Naruto takes a break and stops by Ichiraku, only to find something waiting for him.

As Sakura watches his harsh regimen, which would be impossible for a normal person, she realizes that training can no longer fill the gap between their power.

Tsunade worries about Naruto, whose training for a new jutsu has been interrupted. At that time, in the Village Hidden in the Clouds in the Land of Lightning, Hidan and Kakuzu are nearing the end of their hunt for Two Tails.
