For decades now we have been able to enjoy the NBA All Star game and they have blown our minds. From Blake Griffin jumping over a car to Michael Jordan jumping from the free throw line to slam it home. The years have been good to NBA fans for showing us good entertainment. However, over the years many sports including the NBA has been losing appeal to the All Star Games. You can tell watching the players (especially this year) that they really don't care as much as we would like the them to. There is no defense because no one is willing to risk a injury in the middle of the game. The score runs up and players interest goes down. The NBA needs to figure something out so they can encourage the players to take this more seriously and actually play. Maybe then more people would be willing to tune in. We don't even get to see the big names like Kobe or Lebron James play around in the dunk contest because again they are not willing to get hurt. Its becoming to dry and not as entertaining as it use to be when we would see Jordan and other all stars battling it out for silly titles. I think we would all love to see the all stars in the league face each other in more elaborate dunk contest. The most exciting one this year was when Jeremy Evans dunked over a picture of himself dunking last year... Really? That's it? Nothing ground breaking of something that makes you jump off the couch in excitement. Instead it just makes you want to change the channel and find something better to watch. Hopefully the NBA can make this more entertaining because I would love to see all these all stars take this more serious. Even the commentators don't care about this and they just joke around the entire time. Lets see some more dedication for this All Star break and lets see some more breath taking dunks!
