Ep 19. Girl's Best Friend

As the nineteenth episode of the first season of Nikita, "Girl's Best Friend" finds Nikita teaming up with a diamond thief named Carla while working to protect a young girl named Rebecca. Rebecca's father has been hunted down by some of his enemies, leaving her in danger as a result. When Nikita discovers that Rebecca has some information that could be used against Division, she takes it upon herself to prevent the girl from falling into the wrong hands.

To do so, Nikita reaches out to Carla, a professional thief, for assistance in retrieving an expensive diamond necklace that Rebecca's father had stolen. The necklace is the key to helping Rebecca find a new home away from her father's enemies, but there are various obstacles in their way. Namely, Carla's ex-partner-in-crime Alexei has already got his hands on the stolen diamonds and is looking to sell them off to a rival group of criminals. Carla and Nikita join forces to steal the diamonds from Alexei before it's too late.

In addition to the heist aspect of the episode, "Girl's Best Friend" also delves into the personal lives of the characters. Nikita tries to connect with Rebecca in an effort to help her move on from her past trauma. Meanwhile, Michael continues to wrestle with his feelings for Nikita and his loyalty to his superior, Percy. As Nikita's plans put her at odds with Percy's objectives, Michael is faced with a difficult choice to make.
