Ep 1. Drowned Rat

In the first episode of No.6 season 1, titled "Drowned Rat," we are introduced to the two main characters, Shion and Nezumi. Shion is a highly intelligent, privileged young man living in the utopian city-state of No.6. Nezumi, on the other hand, is a scrappy and streetwise boy who has lived his whole life on the outskirts of the city.

As they flee from the city's authorities, they must avoid the surveillance systems that are in place throughout the city. Shion, who has never had to navigate the streets of No.6 before, quickly learns from Nezumi how to blend in and stay unnoticed.

The two eventually make it to Nezumi's hideout, where Shion is introduced to a group of rebels who have been fighting against the oppressive government of No.6. Nezumi, who has been harboring a grudge against the city-state for most of his life, has been working with the rebels to try and take down the government from the inside.

As the episode comes to a close, Shion realizes that his life in No.6 has been a lie and that the government has been hiding many dark secrets from its citizens. He decides to join forces with the rebels and aid them in their mission to bring down the corrupt regime.

"Drowned Rat" sets the stage for the rest of the series as we follow Shion and Nezumi's journey to uncover the truth about the government of No.6 and fight for their freedom against all odds. The episode lays the foundation for the complex relationship between the two protagonists and highlights the stark contrasts between their respective upbringings. It leaves the audience on the edge of their seat, eager to see what lies ahead in this thrilling dystopian world.
