Ep 3. Tomorrow's So Far Away

Jack is confronted with the fact that he has been gone for ten years when he attends a local fair with Sam and her son. Sam is excited to show Jack their hometown, but as they walk around, Jack realizes how much everything has changed since he left and reminisces about his past. Meanwhile, with his novel deadline rapidly approaching, Nick struggles to focus and come up with ideas for his book. He turns to Ikey for inspiration but ultimately has to face his writer's block alone.

Elsewhere in Knights Ridge, Eddie starts to worry about his job security when his supervisor begins to micromanage him and his co-workers. He finds himself compelled to impress his boss and takes on extra shifts at the bar, causing tension between him and his girlfriend, Janet.

At the fair, Hannah runs into Ray, an old flame who she has not seen in ten years. The two reminisce about the past and catch up on their current lives. However, when Hannah asks Ray if he still has feelings for her, he hesitates to give her a straight answer. These mixed signals leave Hannah feeling confused and unsure of where their relationship stands.

Elsewhere, Owen struggles to connect with his father, who is in town for the weekend. Despite his best efforts to impress him, Owen seems to constantly disappoint his dad, who is unimpressed with his son's job as a pizza delivery boy. Owen feels like he can never live up to his father's expectations and begins to question his sense of self-worth.

As the episode progresses, each character grapples with a personal challenge and must learn to come to terms with their past in order to move forward. Despite the obstacles they face, the residents of Knights Ridge continue to support each other and find comfort in their shared experiences. In the end, they realize that no matter how much time has passed, their hometown will always be a special place that they can call home.
