The film entitled Office Girls is about the life of Ren Xin. The film starts when Ren turns twenty five and is so excited about her job at a department shop in the sales department even though it is not a well paying job. Qin Qi on the other hand is from a very rich and well known family in the area. He is an MBA graduate who has just come back to Taiwan after having his degree in the United States. Qin's father is the owner of the shop where Ren works.

The main reason why Qi came back home after graduation was because he thought his father will put him in control of the Department Shop. He is devastated when his father gives him conditions to permit him take over as the boss being the fact that he must work as a low level staff for one year and must pass five tests to be able to qualify. He accepts his father's conditions and starts working in the sales department of the shop as an assistant.

During the one year his father tells him to hide his true identity from the other members of staff. As a result, he stops seeing his wealthy friends, stops driving his luxurious car but commutes to and from work by public transport. He also receives low salary like his colleagues at the same level with him. Some of his colleagues even look low on him as a poor guy just like themselves.

One day Qi has a misunderstanding with Ren but afterwards they start working in harmony. His father hires a new guy called Feng and appoints him manager of the shop so as to make Qi work even harder to outsmart this guy. Feng gains the attention of the other workers due to his handsome look and charms. Qi and Feng both fall in love with Ren and start competing for her love.
