Out Of Practice is a sitcom that aired on CBS from September 2005 to March 2006. The show revolves around the Barnes family, all of whom are doctors, but their relationships with each other get in the way of their professional lives. The main character is Dr. Benjamin Barnes (played by Christopher Gorham), who is a young and successful surgeon. He is often overshadowed by his older sister, Dr. Regina Barnes (Stockard Channing), who is a respected cardiologist. Regina is always quick to remind Benjamin of her accomplishments and belittle his own. However, Benjamin has a secret that he feels he can't reveal to his perfectionist sister: he's recently been divorced.

Meanwhile, their father, Dr. Stewart Barnes (Henry Winkler), is a renowned gastroenterologist who is more interested in golf than medicine. He is separated from his wife, whom he left to pursue a relationship with his young and attractive receptionist. This causes tension between him and his estranged wife and their children.

Rounding out the family is Dr. Oliver Barnes (Ty Burrell), a psychiatrist who is going through a midlife crisis after his wife left him for a puppeteer. He finds himself struggling to connect with patients, including his teenage daughter, who is being treated for an eating disorder.

Dr. Benjamin Barnes gets a surprising new coworker, Dr. Naomi (Paula Marshall), an orthopedic surgeon who instantly challenges and entices Benjamin. The two have a flirtation that will continue throughout the show, as the Barnes family try to get their lives in order, both personally and professionally.

Despite the often heavy themes of divorce, midlife crises, and eating disorders, Out Of Practice is a light-hearted show that boasts its share of laughs. Each episode features the Barnes family bickering and bonding, both in and out of the workplace. Along the way, they encounter eccentric patients and engage in romance and hijinks.

Despite the talented cast and intriguing premise, Out Of Practice only lasted one season. However, the show still provides an entertaining watch for those looking for a feel-good sitcom with a unique twist.

Out Of Practice is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (22 episodes). The series first aired on September 19, 2005.
