Padam Padam

The television series entitled Padam Padam is centered on the life and challenges of a young man known as Kang-chil. Kang-chil is an inmate who was sent to jail for a sixteen-year jail term for a crime he did not commit. He was mistakenly accused of committing a murder, and there was not sufficient evidence to prove him not guilty. However, thanks to his very good friends testimony he was released after completing his jail term. His friend Gook-soo always stood by him and gave him his support all through his difficult times. A few days before his release from jail he experiences a difficult situation which nearly takes his life.

After Kang-chils release from prison he starts working as a woodworker. He later comes across a pretty lady called Ji-na and starts developing feelings for her. Ji-na is a veterinary doctor and is known by the people around her for her self centered attitude. She reciprocates Kang-chils love for her and the two start a relationship. However, not long after, they face some trying moments as Ji-na finds out her late uncle was the victim in the murder case against Kang-chil.

She starts withdrawing from Kang-chil as she feels disappointed to date the man responsible for her uncles death. Kang-chil then decides to prove his innocence and expose the real murderer so as to regain his tarnished reputation. He sets out to look for evidence against Chan-gul the real murderer of Ji-nas uncle so he can pay for the crime he committed. His main reason for doing so however, is to save his relationship with Ji-na.

The series was written by Noh Hee-kyung and directed by Kim Kyu-tae. It comprised a total of twenty episodes and aired on channels like the iTBC.

The characters in the series include Jung Woo-sung featuring as Yang Kang- Chil the main protagonist of the series, Han Ji-min featuring as Jung Ji Na and Kim Bum featuring as Lee Gook-soo, Jae Woo starring as Kim Young, Na Moon Hee featuring as Kim Mi , Kang Chil's mother, Jang Hang Sun as Ji-nas father Detective Jung, Yoon Joo Sang featuring as Prison officer Kim, Kim Joon Sung featuring as Chan Gul.
