Ep 8. Point of Origin

Reese and Shaw start to investigate a suspicious death that involves their latest POI, a psychologist and a therapist named Dr. Deborah Carr. But what starts as a standard case soon unravels into something much darker and sinister. The investigation forces the team to delve into the doctor's past and her association with a high-end matchmaking service, where the clients are some of the most powerful people in the city. Meanwhile, Finch enters into a game of cat and mouse with Samaritan's operatives to protect his machine. Reese and Shaw go undercover as potential clients to get to the bottom of the case, but they soon realize that the matchmaking service may be a front for something far more dangerous and that their POI may be in grave danger. As the investigation takes a dangerous turn, with the added complication of a former associate of Dr. Carr, the team must act quickly to prevent a tragedy. This episode poses the question, how much can you trust a person's past and how far will you go to protect them when danger looms?
