Ep 1. Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin!

In the first episode of season 17 of Pokemon, titled "Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin!", we are introduced to a new region known as Kalos. The episode begins with a young boy named Ash Ketchum, who dreams of becoming a Pokemon master, and his Pikachu traveling by train to Kalos. On the train, Ash meets a group of other trainers who are also headed to Kalos, including a girl named Serena.

Sycamore offers Ash a choice of three Pokemon to begin his journey with: Froakie, Chespin or Fennekin.

Ash decides to choose Froakie as his new partner, and the two set off on their journey. Along the way, Ash and Pikachu encounter various Pokemon species, including a group of Pidgey and Fletchling. They also have their first encounter with a group of Team Rocket members, Jesse, James, and their talking Meowth, who are up to their usual plans of trying to steal Ash's Pokemon.

Meanwhile, Ash's new traveling companion Serena, who is also a childhood friend of his, is having her own adventure in Kalos. She attends a Pokemon showcase where Pokemon and their trainers compete in various contests and shows. Serena initially refuses to participate, but after seeing a Rhyhorn riding competition, she decides to enter herself and her new Fennekin.

As the episode progresses, Ash and Pikachu continue to explore the new region, encountering new challenges and meeting new friends. They eventually find themselves in a forest, where they have a battle against a wild Fletchling. With Froakie's determination, they win the battle and continue their adventures together.

Overall, the debut episode of season 17 of Pokemon introduces fans to a brand new region filled with adventure, new Pokemon species, and challenges. Ash and Pikachu's journey has only just begun, and viewers are sure to be excited to see what new adventures await them in Kalos.
