In episode 3 of season 2 of Preachers' Daughters, titled "Father, Forgive Me," the focus is on some of the daughters struggling with temptation and their relationships with their fathers. As the episode opens, we see Tori and her father Kenny visiting a bridal shop. Tori is excited about trying on wedding dresses, but her father is less than thrilled. He worries that his daughter is rushing things with her boyfriend, James, and is hesitant to give his blessing to their marriage. Meanwhile, Olivia is feeling the pressure to be a perfect pastor's daughter and is struggling with the urge to rebel. She opens up to her father, Mark, about the feelings of guilt and inadequacy she's been experiencing, but he struggles to understand where she's coming from.

Back at Tori's house, she and James are talking about their future together and discussing the possibility of going to premarital counseling. However, Tori's father is still skeptical. He wants them to take it slow and make sure they're compatible before rushing into marriage. The tension between father and daughter is palpable as they try to navigate this important decision.

Next, we see Kolby and her father Nikita bonding over their love of country music. Nikita is a talented singer-songwriter and is hoping to pass on his musical abilities to his daughter. However, Kolby has other plans. She's been chatting with a guy online and wants to go out with him, even though her father has warned her about the dangers of meeting strangers on the internet. When she tries to bring up the subject, her father shuts her down and tells her to focus on more important things.

Meanwhile, Taylor is struggling with the aftermath of her ill-advised hookup at the party in the last episode. She's feeling the weight of her mistake and doesn't know how to make things right. Her father, Kenny, notices that something is off with her and tries to get her to open up. However, she's hesitant to admit what happened, especially since her father is so strict and doesn't approve of her dating life.

As the episode progresses, we see each of the daughters dealing with their own inner demons and trying to connect with their fathers in different ways. Some of them find common ground, while others continue to struggle with the generational gap between them. Ultimately, "Father, Forgive Me" is a nuanced exploration of the complex relationships between fathers and daughters, and the ways in which religion and tradition can both bring people together and drive them apart.
