Private Practice is a medical drama television series that aired on ABC from 2007 to 2013. The show is a spin-off of the popular medical drama Grey's Anatomy and stars Kate Walsh as Dr. Addison Montgomery, a talented and accomplished neonatal surgeon who relocates from Seattle to Los Angeles to start a new life.

Addison is joined by a talented team of doctors at the Oceanside Wellness Center, including neurosurgeon Dr. Sam Bennett (portrayed by Tim Daly), psychiatrist Dr. Violet Turner (played by Amy Brenneman), pediatrician Dr. Cooper Freedman (played by Paul Adelstein), obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Naomi Bennett (portrayed by Audra McDonald), internist Dr. Pete Wilder (played by Tim Daly), and alternative medicine specialist Dr. Charlotte King (played by KaDee Strickland).

Throughout the series, Private Practice tackles a variety of medical and social issues, including infertility, addiction, mental illness, and LGBT rights. The show is widely acclaimed for its balanced portrayal of these issues, with a strong emphasis on the human side of medicine and how it affects both patients and doctors alike.

The show also features a strong focus on the romantic relationships between the characters, with a particular emphasis on Addison's love life. Throughout the series, Addison has several romantic relationships with her colleagues and other men, including neurosurgeon Dr. Derek Shepherd (played by Patrick Dempsey), fertility specialist Dr. Jake Reilly (played by Benjamin Bratt), and alternative medicine specialist Dr. Sam Bennett.

Private Practice boasts a talented ensemble cast, with excellent chemistry between the actors. In addition to the core cast, the show also features a number of recurring and guest stars, including Merrin Dungey, Evan Ross, Justine Bateman, and Melissa McCarthy.
