Shawn and Gus are called in to investigate a case where the lead singer of a popular 90s boy band is found dead in his hotel room. The two detectives go undercover as members of the band's entourage and travel with them to a concert in Santa Barbara. They soon discover that everyone in the band has their own secrets and motives for the lead singer's death, including a bitter ex-girlfriend, a manager with financial troubles, and a former member who was kicked out of the band.
