In Raising Hope season 2 episode 8, titled "Bro-gurt," the Chance family finds themselves knee-deep in a yogurt war. Virginia (Martha Plimpton) and Sabrina (Shannon Woodward) both take part in a taste test competition to try and win a job at a yogurt company. With each having their signature yogurt recipe, Virginia's is sweet and cinnamony, while Sabrina's is healthy and organic. The competition is judged by a discerning yogurt expert, Dr. Dewberry (guest star Ben Cornish), who is hard to impress.
Meanwhile, Burt (Garret Dillahunt) and Jimmy (Lucas Neff) decide to start their own business selling homemade barbeque sauce. Jimmy comes up with the idea to combine Virginia's cinnamon yogurt with their barbeque sauce, and thus bro-gurt is born. Burt and Jimmy go door to door trying to sell their sauce with the help of their new bro-gurt product, but they quickly realize they may have bitten off more than they can chew.
As the competition heats up, both Virginia and Sabrina resort to extreme measures to win, including spying and sabotage. However, their antics are no match for Dr. Dewberry's discerning palette, and he chooses a surprise winner.
Back at home, Burt and Jimmy are struggling to sell their sauce, until they realize they've been targeting the wrong audience. They decide to take their business to a local farmer's market and have better luck, only to be faced with a new challenge - a competitor selling a similar sauce.
In the end, the Chance family learns a valuable lesson about business and the importance of staying true to oneself, even in the midst of competition. "Bro-gurt" is a hilarious and heartwarming episode that showcases the talents and quirks of each member of the Chance family.
