Ep 19. Making The Band

In Raising Hope's season 3 episode 19, titled "Making The Band," the Chance family is gearing up for a Battle of the Bands competition at their favorite hangout spot, The Crab Shack. She's always wanted to be a dancer, and hopes to choreograph a routine for her and Burt (played by Garret Dillahunt) to perform on stage. However, her lofty ambitions are quickly crushed when Burt reveals that he's not much of a dancer.

As the Chance family prepares for the big night, tensions rise and old rivalries resurface. Burt's nemesis, Alex (played by guest star Will Sasso), enters the competition with his band, and tensions between the two groups quickly escalate. To make matters worse, Virginia gets cold feet about performing and opts to drop out of the competition entirely.

Despite these setbacks, The Felonious Monks and Alex's band face off in a hilarious Battle of the Bands finale. The competition is filled with outrageous performances, including a rap about dental hygiene and a rendition of "Cotton Eye Joe" with Maw Maw as the lead singer. In the end, a surprise twist leaves the Chance family members feeling more united than ever before.
