Meanwhile, Maura finds out that the poison in the victim's system was purposely injected into her, which means that Suzanne was murdered twice. Maura and Jane investigate further and discover that one of Suzanne's clients, a Saudi diplomat, was the one who poisoned her in the first place. He did it to cover up a criminal act that he committed with Suzanne.

In the end, the team successfully solves the case, and justice is served. Jane goes back to her job as a detective, while Maura continues to investigate the medical aspect of the case. The episode ends with Jane and Maura discussing their day over drinks, as they often do.
