Ep 5. Misconduct

In "Misconduct," the fifth episode of Rizzoli & Isles' sixth season, Jane Rizzoli and Dr. Maura Isles are caught up in a high-profile investigation involving a powerful judge.

The episode starts with a shocking scene: a high school student is brutally murdered inside a courtroom while Judge Kathleen Harper (played by guest star Sharon Lawrence) is presiding over a case involving the young victim. As the investigation progresses, Jane and Maura discover that the killer might have had a personal connection to the judge, and that the judge's own behavior might have put her in danger.

They struggle to balance their duty to investigate the crime with their respect for the legal system, especially since they know that any misstep could result in the case being thrown out of court.

Ultimately, Jane and Maura have to face some tough decisions about loyalty, justice, and the limits of the law. "Misconduct" is an intense, thought-provoking episode that highlights both the moral dilemmas faced by law enforcement officials and the complex relationships between the characters of Rizzoli & Isles.
