In episode 8 of RuPaul's Drag Race season 9, the remaining queens are tasked with one of the most difficult challenges of the season: the RuPaul Roast. The queens must come up with original, hilarious material to roast their fellow competitors as well as special guest judges, including Fortune Feimster and Tamar Braxton.
The episode starts with the queens practicing their jokes with guest mentor Ross Matthews, who gives them some helpful advice and feedback. The queens are all nervous and unsure of themselves, but they try their best to come up with funny and original material.
When it's time for the actual roast, the queens take turns delivering their jokes in front of the judges and a live audience. Some of them do better than others, but all of them manage to get some laughs and entertain the crowd.
There are some standout performances, including one queen who absolutely slays with her wit and humor, and another who surprises everyone with her unexpected sharpness and cleverness.
After the roast is over, the judges deliberate and ultimately decide which queen did the best job and who will be lip-syncing for their life. The bottom two queens face off in a lip-sync battle for their chance to stay in the competition, and one of them is ultimately sent home.
Overall, this episode is a hilarious and entertaining installment of RuPaul's Drag Race season 9. The queens really step up to the challenge and deliver some great performances, making for a fun and memorable episode.
