Ben & Jerry Share Their Deliciously Creamy Schweddy Balls With America

Ben & Jerry Share Their Deliciously Creamy Schweddy Balls With America "Schweddy Balls": it's more than just a condition - it's now a delicious treat. Trust us, you won't be able to resist it.

Ben & Jerry's announced that it's releasing a new ice cream flavor dedicated to the hilarious Alec Baldwin SNL sketch, "Schweddy Balls," in which Pete Schweddy (Baldwin) the owner of a candy shop called Season's Eatings, sells the hosts of the NPR program "Delicious Dish" on his special balls.

Pete Schweddy, it turns out, sells popcorn balls, cheese balls, rum balls - balls for every taste, really.

Ben & Jerry are big fans of Schweddy Balls, apparently - particularly when they're soaked in booze and covered in chocolate.

"Available in both pints and Scoop Shops, this flavor is Fair Trade vanilla ice cream with a hint of rum and is loaded with fudge covered rum and milk chocolate malt balls," said the company in a release.

Alec Baldwin himself even commented on the momentous heights his famous balls had reached.

"For a long time, I thought that ‘Here Lies Pete Schweddy' would end up on my tombstone. Now, thanks to Ben & Jerry's, the goodness of the Schweddy family recipe won't go with me to the great beyond. It is immortalized here, right now, and it's an ice cream. Ben & Jerry's and Schweddy. Two great names in American dessert, together at last.”

We wouldn't be surprised if by this time next year, grocery carts and freezers around the country are jam-packed with delicious, creamy Schweddy Balls.
