The 24th episode of the 39th season of Saturday Night Live features actor Andrew Garfield as the host and musical guest Coldplay. Garfield, known for his roles in The Social Network and The Amazing Spider-Man, brings his humor and charisma to the famous sketch show.

The episode kicks off with a political cold open, as is tradition for Saturday Night Live. This time, it features a parody of the final episode of The Sopranos, but with Donald Trump as the lead instead of Tony Soprano. Alec Baldwin reprises his role as Trump and the sketch is full of jabs at the president and his administration.

In his opening monologue, Garfield talks about being a Brit and how he's gotten used to New York City. He also jokes about the fact that he once played Spider-Man, but is too scared to climb on the walls at Rockefeller Center.

The first sketch of the night features Garfield as a contestant on a game show called "What Even Matters Anymore?" where the host (played by Kenan Thompson) asks contestants what they think matters in today's society. Garfield's character is baffled when he realizes that nothing really seems to matter anymore.

The next sketch is a pre-taped digital short, featuring Garfield and cast member Kyle Mooney as two guys trying to make a viral video by performing stunts in public. The sketch pokes fun at the trend of people doing dangerous and ridiculous stunts in order to get clicks on social media.

The show then goes into a recurring sketch called "Weekend Update," which features Colin Jost and Michael Che delivering satirical news commentary. This week's edition includes jokes about Trump's tax returns and the recent royal wedding.

After "Weekend Update," Garfield takes on the role of a British superhero known as "The Beyonder," who is tasked with finding out what's happened to all the British celebrities. The sketch is full of British humor and puns, and Garfield's comedic timing is spot on.

The next sketch is a spoof of the game show "Jeopardy," with Garfield playing an American tourist in Paris who is struggling to answer questions about the city's history and culture. The sketch also features cast members Kate McKinnon and Alex Moffat as French locals who are less than impressed with the tourist's lack of knowledge.

Coldplay takes the stage to perform two songs, "Magic" and "A Sky Full of Stars." The band's performance is energetic and engaging, with lead singer Chris Martin interacting with the crowd throughout.

The final sketch of the night features Garfield playing a man who is trying to impress his girlfriend's family, but keeps accidentally revealing embarrassing information about himself. The sketch is full of awkward moments and cringe-worthy humor, but Garfield's likability shines through.

Overall, Andrew Garfield and Coldplay make for a great episode of Saturday Night Live. The sketches are varied and funny, and Garfield's comedic talent is on full display. Coldplay's musical performances are also a highlight of the episode.
