School Spirits

School Spirits is a ScyFy channel original television series. Currently in its first season, this show reenacts paranormal experiences as told by college students. The series focuses on colleges and universities in the United States.

Each episode is approximately one hour long and features one individual paranormal encounter. Students, their friends and family members tell the tale of their ghost experience while you watch actors perform the story. This is a documentary style series.

Currently there are only six episodes available for viewing. Of these episodes one takes place in a sorority house and a few others take place in campus dorm rooms. Most students that encounter these spirits try to ignore them at first but, then they become to frightened to let the encounters pass. In some cases the paranormal activity has caused students to leave their dorm room in favor of sleeping in hallways.

In most cases the activity that is described is usually linked to some type of tragedy that took place in the school. This could be a murder or suicide. Even accidents that have taken place close to the campus have affected the paranormal activity in the area.

During one episode the spirit of a man who owned the property that the sorority girls where staying in, had been known to be a loving father that protected his family. In this case the spirit proceeded to protect the college girls as if they were his own children. Unfortunately, he was protecting them from another paranormal entity that wasn't friendly.

In another episode a young girl struggles with her religious beliefs when she begins seeing spirits all over the campus. Trying to understand her new psychic ability and work to uncover what the spirits are trying to tell her makes campus life difficult. She then makes friends with another girl who has been seeing spirits all her life. Together they work to figure out the message that a bloody ghost has been trying to tell them. The spirits warning ultimately saves their lives.

Due to the content of this program some viewers my find the subject material offensive. This is more a program for adults.
