Shell Shocked is the ninth episode of the fifth season of Sea Rescue, a television show that follows the efforts of SeaWorld's rescue team as they save animals in distress along the coasts of America.

In this episode, the SeaWorld team responds to a call about a green sea turtle that has washed up on shore in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Upon arrival, the team discovers that the turtle is lethargic and not responsive to their efforts to move it. With the help of a local veterinarian, the team transports the turtle to the SeaWorld park in Orlando where it is given a comprehensive examination.

Meanwhile, the team also rushes to help a family of manatees that are trapped in a cove in the Indian River. Using specialized lift bags, the team lifts the adult manatees out of the water and onto a stretcher, while the baby is lifted using a sling. The manatees are then transported over land to a nearby canal where they are released back into the wild.

Back at SeaWorld, the sea turtle is diagnosed with a condition known as "bubble butt syndrome", caused by an excess of gas in its digestive system. The team works diligently to release the gas through a series of massages, and after a few days, the turtle is able to be released back into the ocean.

The episode also features the story of a young dolphin that was rescued after becoming entangled in fishing line. The team uses an innovative technique known as a "net gun" to safely capture the dolphin and bring it back to the facility for treatment. After nursing the dolphin back to health, the team releases it back into the wild.

Throughout the episode, Sea Rescue highlights the importance of conservation and preservation efforts, as well as the tireless efforts of the SeaWorld team to save animals in distress. The show also demonstrates the specialized techniques and equipment utilized by the rescue team, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the hard work and dedication that goes into animal rescue and rehabilitation.
