Belle is a high-end call girl working in London. Her chosen profession has always been clandestine, and she has preserved her anonymity by using an alias. Belle, played by Billie Piper, is the protagonist of Secret Diary of a Call Girl. In the fourth episode of the first season, Belle has a new client, a sportsman named Duncan. Duncan is obsessed with foot fetishism and wants Belle to cater to his fetish. At first, Belle finds it strange, but she ultimately obliges by wearing his favorite pair of high heels.

In the beginning, Belle meets Duncan at the bar of a lavish hotel. He seems more interested in her feet than her typical client would be. Belle soon realizes that Duncan has a foot fetish and is obsessed with her feet. Initially taken aback by the request, she warms up to the idea after seeing how obsessed Duncan is with her toes. Belle allows Duncan to touch and fondle her feet, much to his delight.

As the night progresses, Belle and Duncan move to his hotel room, and the sexual tension between them rises. Belle discovers that Duncan is engaged and is getting married in the next few weeks. Belle spies pictures of his fiancé around the room and feels a pang of guilt about their tryst. Duncan, however, appears to be only focusing on Belle's feet and doesn't seem to care about his impending marriage.

Belle's life is not just about sleeping with men, but it's more than that. She leads a double life and has to juggle her profession with her personal life. Her ex-boyfriend, Ben, confronts her about her secret profession, but she shuts him off because she can't let anyone know about the job that helps her get by. Belle also has trouble getting a new apartment, as her profession is not well looked upon.

To make things more complicated, Belle's client database is hacked and, fearing for her safety, she gets a new phone and tosses the old one. One of her clients, the older gentleman Clive, is paranoid that his wife will find out about his extracurricular activities and hires Belle to have sex with her. Belle finds it odd, but then she discovers it's his way of testing his wife's fidelity because he suspects her cheating on him. Belle is hesitant at first, but when Clive's wife turns out to be a gorgeous and eager-to-please woman, she can't help herself.

The episode comes to an end when Belle winds up in bed with Duncan. They have sex, but afterwards, she senses a change in him and realizes that he's finally realized the gravity of his situation and that he's engaged. Belle feels guilty and tells him that he made a mistake in sleeping with her. Duncan agrees and apologizes saying that he hopes it doesn't change things between them.

Overall, this is one of the most captivating episodes of the season. The foot fetish storyline adds a unique dynamic to the episode, and the complexity of Belle's life portrays how difficult it can be to balance a secret career while dealing with personal problems. Billie Piper does an excellent job in the episode, and her mastery of the character Belle is commendable. The theme of infidelity and the exploration of different aspects of fetishes make this an episode that is hard to miss.
