Sensing Murder is a captivating television series that follows various psychics as they work alongside law enforcement to solve unsolved murder cases. In season 1, episode 7, titled "Prairie Predator," viewers are taken on a mystery-solving journey in the heart of the American Midwest.

The episode begins with two psychics, Pam Coronado and Laurie Campbell, being handed a gruesome case from Detective Kevin Sawyer. The detective is seeking their assistance in solving the murders of two women, whose bodies were found in separate cornfields in Nebraska. The women's cases had been open for over a decade, and despite the best efforts of law enforcement and the locals’ willingness to help, the killer had never been caught. The psychics had previously assisted law enforcement in other murder cases, so the detective was hoping they could help him bring closure to the families of the victims.

As Pam and Laurie start to get impressions from the victims, they quickly sense that there is a male perpetrator who was familiar with the area where the bodies were found. They feel like he's either a local or had a connection to the town, and had shown sign of psychosis or mental illness. Every impression they got is eerily similar, from a feeling of being stalked and hunted, to a sense of being watched. The case takes them on a rollercoaster ride as they become more and more convinced that they are hot on the killer's trail.

With the help of Detective Sawyer, the psychics go to the crime scenes to feel a connection to the victims and the murderer. They also use some tools that connect them to the unknown, like a never before-seen retired FBI's bloodhound in the hopes that it would lead them to the killer. The bloodhound's tracking skills are renowned and they hoped her extraordinary sense of smell would help crack the case.

The investigation also leads them to a suspect, who had previously lived in the area and had a criminal record. He had been arrested for making terrorist threats and had been in and out of mental institutions throughout his life, which matched the psychics' impressions. However, they had to keep an open mind and had to rely only on their senses, because there was no physical evidence that directly linked the suspect to the murders.

Sensing Murder season 1 episode 7 is an emotionally charged episode full of twists and turns that keep the viewers on the edge of their seats. The psychics’ participation in the investigation is fascinating, and the way they connect with the victims and the killer in this particular case resonates more than in the previous episodes. It takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions, from the captivating interactions with the psychic to the frustration of not finding concrete evidence, and the suspense of finding out who ultimately committed the murders.

Overall, "Prairie Predator" is another excellent episode of Sensing Murder that showcases how people can come together to solve heinous crimes and bring closure to the families of victims. The episode proves that that sometimes, help comes in strange packages, and that maybe open-minded investigators like Detective Sawyer, Pam Coronado, Laurie Campbell, and the retired FBI dog, are the key to solving crimes that would have otherwise remained unsolved.
