In Shake It Up season 2 episode 29, titled "Made In Japan," best friends CeCe and Rocky travel to Tokyo, Japan with their dance troupe to perform for a TV show. CeCe and Rocky are excited about this opportunity to travel to Japan and showcase their dance skills on an international stage. However, their excitement quickly turns to nerves when they discover that they are the only ones in the group who can't speak Japanese. Determined to communicate with the locals and fully immerse themselves in the Japanese culture, they enroll in a language course in hopes of learning some basic phrases before their performance.

Meanwhile, Deuce discovers that he has a long-lost relative in Japan named Harrison Yamada, who happens to be a successful inventor. Deuce excitedly meets with Harrison and shares his own inventions with him. Harrison is impressed with Deuce's inventive spirit and decides to help him create a new gadget that could help with the group's performance.

As the day of the performance draws closer, CeCe and Rocky struggle with the Japanese language, but their determination pays off. They successfully communicate with the locals and even gain some fans who come to support them at their performance. The group's performance goes off without a hitch, and they receive rave reviews.

While the trip to Japan was a success, it wasn't without its challenges. The group learned valuable lessons about communication, determination, and cultural immersion.
