Ep 22. Episode 22

Kyoko is nervous getting ready for the Valentine's Day event. She has been practicing for a month and even enlisted the help of Yashiro and Maria. Her chocolates will be given to all the staff and managers, including Ren. She is excited about the opportunity to see Ren, but equally worried that she might not be able to control her emotions.

On the day of the event, Kyoko is dressed in a cute pink outfit and carrying a basket of chocolates. She arrives at the company's lobby to see all the other girls giving out Valentine's Day chocolates. Kyoko begins to distribute her chocolates to everyone she sees. One of the girls who receives her chocolates is rude to Kyoko and puts her in a terrible mood. She tries to brush off the girl's insult and focus on her task.

Kyoko is finally face to face with Ren; she struggles to compose herself but eventually hands him a box of chocolates. Ren is pleased to see that Kyoko has given him chocolates, and he tries to tease her by asking if it's a normal gift or something special. Kyoko becomes flustered, but then Ren sees the name on the package and realizes that they are handmade chocolates just for him. Ren is moved by the gesture and thanks her.

Conversely, Sho has not received any chocolates, despite his manager telling him that he would. He decides to confront Kyoko and asks her why she didn't give him any chocolates. Kyoko had no idea that she was supposed to give Sho any chocolates. Sho tells her that not giving him anything is a sign of animosity, but Kyoko is confused about why she would hold any such feelings towards him.

Meanwhile, Ren is still at his desk staring at the chocolates Kyoko has given him. Yashiro notices this and quickly delivers Ren a box of chocolates. Ren tries to explain to him that Kyoko's handmade chocolates have more value to him than any other chocolate. Yashiro becomes concerned that Ren's feelings for Kyoko are surpassing what's appropriate for their professional relationship. Ren tries to convince himself and Yashiro that his infatuation with Kyoko is nothing more than admiration.

Later that day, Sho calls Kyoko to his office and once again brings up the subject of Valentine's Day. Sho makes it clear to Kyoko that he is not interested in Valentine's Day and only wants to focus on his music career. Kyoko tries to explain why she didn't give him any chocolates. However, before she can finish the conversation, Sho states that he sees Kyoko as nothing more than an occupational hazard and that he doesn't like her at all. Sho claims that Kyoko is the reason why he can't make it to the top and that he will eliminate her someday.

Kyoko is left shaken and heartbroken after the interaction, questioning whether Sho meant everything he said during their conversation. Yashiro finds Kyoko huddled in a corner of the office and tries to console her. Yashiro realizes that Ren's feelings are not one-sided and that Kyoko has no idea. Yashiro tells Kyoko that Ren's feelings for her are not appropriate and that she's not allowed to fall in love with him. This realization puts a damper on Kyoko's excitement about Valentine's Day, but as she leaves the office, she is determined to not let these events get her down.
