Ep 9. Mama

Ichabod and Abbie investigate a series of strange murders that seem to be linked to a supernatural entity known as the Weeping Lady. The murders take place in a historic bed and breakfast called The Hidden One, which is believed to be haunted by the ghost of a woman who drowned her children in a nearby creek. As they delve deeper into the case, Ichabod and Abbie discover that the Weeping Lady is actually a vengeful spirit who has been cursed for centuries by the forest god Tamenund.

Meanwhile, Katrina tries to bond with Henry, who is still struggling to come to terms with his identity as the Horseman of War. She explains to him that he has a choice in the matter and can choose to use his powers for good instead of evil. However, Henry is torn between his loyalty to his mother and his desire for power.

As Ichabod and Abbie race against time to stop the Weeping Lady from claiming more victims, they must also confront their own ghosts from the past. Ichabod is haunted by memories of his mother, who died when he was a young boy, and Abbie is forced to confront the fact that her estranged sister Jenny may have played a role in their mother's death. Together, they learn that sometimes the only way to move forward is to face the past head-on.

In the end, Ichabod and Abbie are able to defeat the Weeping Lady and put her curse to rest. However, the aftermath of the case leaves them both shaken and unsure of their place in the world. As they begin to pick up the pieces and move forward, they are left to wonder what other terrors await them in the shadows of Sleepy Hollow.
