Sons of Tucson is a half-hour comedy television series that aired for one season on FOX in 2010. The show follows the story of three young boys who hire a slacker named Ron Snuffkin (played by Tyler Labine) to pretend to be their father after their real father is imprisoned for fraud.

The show is set in Tucson, Arizona, and the youngest boy, Robby Gunderson (played by Davis Cleveland), explains in the opening narration that their mother had died several years prior and their father was their only caregiver. However, when their father is arrested and facing a long prison sentence, the boys are placed in foster care. Determined to stay together, they come up with the idea to hire an actor to play their father so that they can continue to live in their own home and attend their same school.

Enter Ron Snuffkin, a down-on-his-luck ex-con man who is struggling to make ends meet. The boys approach Ron while he is working as a strip club bouncer and offer to pay him $200 a week to impersonate their father. Ron initially refuses but eventually agrees when he realizes how much money he could make. From there, he spends his days trying to navigate the challenges of being a fake dad while also trying to maintain his own shady lifestyle.

Throughout the series, Ron faces many obstacles as he tries to balance his fake parenting duties with his own needs and desires. He is constantly battling his temper, which often gets him into trouble, and his own laziness, which makes it difficult for him to keep up with the boys' daily routine. He also has to deal with the boys' real father, who is constantly trying to escape from prison and reclaim his role as their caregiver.

Despite the many hurdles, Ron ends up forming a bond with the boys, who come to see him as a real father figure. They help him to grow and mature, and he learns to care about their wellbeing more than he does his own. Throughout the series, Ron becomes more invested in his role as a fake father and begins to realize how important family really is.

The show features a talented cast, including Tyler Labine, who is best known for his roles in shows like Reaper and Deadbeat. Labine brings his trademark wit and charm to the role of Ron Snuffkin, making him a lovable and relatable character despite his many flaws. Davis Cleveland, who plays Robby Gunderson, is also a standout in the show, showcasing his acting talent at a young age.

Overall, Sons of Tucson is a heartwarming and humorous show that explores the importance of family, even when that family is unconventional. It is a unique and entertaining take on the traditional family sitcom, and the series is sure to put a smile on your face. While it unfortunately only lasted for one season, Sons of Tucson remains a hidden gem of a show that is definitely worth watching.

Sons of Tucson is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (13 episodes). The series first aired on March 14, 2010.
