Speed Grapher is a 24-episode anime series that aired on TV Asahi in Japan from April to October in 2005. It was directed by Kunihisa Sugishima and produced by Gonzo. The series is set in Tokyo, Japan, where the elite live a life of luxury while the rest of the city's population struggles to survive. The story follows Tatsumi Saiga, a former war photographer turned freelance photographer who discovers a sinister conspiracy involving a secret club called the Roppongi Club, where the rich and powerful members engage in a deadly game involving supernatural powers.

The series is set in a dystopian future where the economy has collapsed, and Tokyo has become a lawless city where the rich and powerful dominate the poor. Tatsumi Saiga, the protagonist, is a former war photographer who now works as a freelance photographer trying to capture the city's dark underbelly. His life takes a turn for the worse when he sneaks into an illegal club called the Roppongi Club, where he meets a mysterious girl named Kagura Tennouzu.

Kagura is the daughter of the club's president, and she possesses supernatural powers that allow her to bring people to their knees with a kiss. Saiga inadvertently takes a picture of Kagura using her powers and becomes the target of the Roppongi Club's members, who will do everything in their power to eliminate him and anyone else who has seen Kagura's powers firsthand.

The series follows Saiga as he tries to uncover the secrets behind the Roppongi Club and Kagura's powers while trying to protect her from her own father and the other club members. He teams up with a group of rebels who also have supernatural abilities, including a woman named Ginza who can turn her body into a metal-like substance and a man named Suitengu who can use sound waves as a weapon.

The series explores themes of power, corruption, and greed as the Roppongi Club members use their abilities to gain even more power and control over the city. The rebels fight back against this oppression, but they face many challenges and sacrifices along the way.

The animation quality of Speed Grapher is excellent, with detailed character designs and fluid action sequences. The soundtrack features a mix of electronic and rock music, which complements the series' dark tone and themes. The voice acting, particularly from Toshiyuki Morikawa, who plays Saiga, is top-notch and adds a lot of depth and emotion to the characters.

Overall, Speed Grapher is a thrilling and engaging anime series that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The combination of supernatural powers, political intrigue, and dystopian setting makes for an exciting and thought-provoking story. The series may not be for everyone, as it contains some graphic violence and sexual content, but for those who enjoy darker anime with complex themes, it is well worth a watch.

Speed Grapher is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (26 episodes). The series first aired on April 7, 2005.
