SpongeBob SquarePants season 7 episode 7 is titled "A Day Without Tears/Summer Job."

In "A Day Without Tears," SpongeBob tries to go an entire day without crying. It starts off relatively easy, as there are plenty of things that make him happy, like his pet snail Gary or his favorite superhero Mermaid Man. However, as the day goes on, SpongeBob finds it harder and harder to keep his emotions in check. He tries distracting himself with activities like karate chopping and jellyfishing, but those only make him more emotional in the end. He even tries to avoid his friends, fearing that they'll say something that triggers his tears. But, when his best friend Patrick comes to him with a sad story, SpongeBob can't hold it in any longer and finally breaks down. In the end, he learns that it's okay to express his emotions and that sometimes crying can make you feel better.

In "Summer Job," SpongeBob and Patrick get jobs as lifeguards at Goo Lagoon. They're excited to spend their summer days relaxing on the beach, but their job turns out to be more challenging than they anticipated. They have to deal with rowdy beachgoers like Larry the Lobster who refuse to follow the rules, and even have to save a few lives. However, when they're not busy keeping people safe, they still manage to have fun building sandcastles and taking breaks in their lifeguard tower. In the end, they learn that being a lifeguard is a serious responsibility, but one that can also be enjoyable.
