The show walks viewers through the highs and lows of dealing with everyday experiences in a productive way. Friends are always on hand to help the sponge and his buddies deal with being sad, mad, and happy.

Having a special day makes everyone feel better and unique. Patrick's day shows how this type of event can help to reinforce positive mental attitudes as well as reinforce the need to have close friends. Love is the base of all the characters do and say and even when hurtful things are done or said, there is always the love of friends and family to help make everything better.
