Ep 8. Breaking the Ice

Captain Jonathan Archer and his crew aboard the Enterprise NX-01 are tasked with making first contact with an alien race called the Axanar. This is a unique opportunity for the Enterprise crew as the Axanar have only had limited contact with humans in the past.

After spending some time on the Axanar's planet, the Enterprise crew prepares to depart. As they are about to leave, they receive a distress call from a group of Axanar miners who are trapped in an ice cave. The crew decides to help in any way they can and works to rescue the trapped miners. This act of kindness earns them the respect of the Axanar and helps to forge a new alliance between their two races.
