Ep 27. The Education of Miss Profit

In Storage Wars season 5 episode 27, titled "The Education of Miss Profit," the buyers head to El Monte, California, where they hope to score some valuable storage units. The episode begins with auctioneer Dan Dotson reminding the bidders to stay on their best behavior and not bid more than they can afford.

The first unit is a small one that only Brandi Passante and Jarrod Schulz are interested in. They manage to win the unit for a decent price, but soon realize that the contents are mostly junk. However, they do find a few items that they think they can sell for a profit, including some old luggage and a set of vintage bowling pins.

Next up is a larger unit that catches the eye of Darrell Sheets, who sees a few items that he thinks could be worth a lot of money. However, he quickly gets into a bidding war with Ivy Calvin, who is determined to come out on top. In the end, Ivy wins the unit, but Darrell doesn't give up that easily. He follows Ivy to his store to try to convince him to sell him a few of the more valuable items he found in the unit.

Meanwhile, Rene Nezhoda and Casey Lloyd are focused on another unit that they think could be a goldmine. They manage to win the unit for a decent price and soon discover that it's full of books and other paper items. Rene is thrilled, as he knows that vintage books can be worth a lot of money. But when they take the items to an appraiser, they realize that most of them are not that valuable.

In the end, it's Mary Padian who comes out on top. She manages to snatch up a small unit for a low price and is surprised to find that it's full of antique furniture, including a beautiful vanity. She quickly realizes that this unit could be her biggest payday yet.

Throughout the episode, viewers get to know more about Mary's backstory and how she got into the storage auction business. She explains that she used to work as a bartender and had no experience in the industry, but she quickly fell in love with the thrill of the auction and the possibility of striking it rich.

As the episode comes to a close, the buyers head back to their stores to sell their finds. While some of them come out on top, others are disappointed to discover that their units weren't as valuable as they had thought. But that's just part of the game in Storage Wars, and the buyers know that they'll be back for more auctions soon enough.
