Glory has made it to the championship NIT game, but Roger is going to expose Jim's illegal tutoring to the NCAA board. However, it turns out that Jim has started a flagship program for tutoring high school students, an entirely legal operation. Jim then puts Roger back in prison with the revelation of his off-shore money laundering. Glory goes on to win the NIT championship and Jim becomes the official AD. All seems well until Roger's final bomb explodes and the NCAA is back on Jim's case.

Just as Roger is about to break ground on his new Louisiana Vengeance stadium, the Environmental Protection Agency stops him cold -- the stadium could endanger a bird sanctuary. The board tries to suspend Jim's contract and he promises them that if they do not win the NIT he will resign quietly. However, if they do win, he bargains to become the permanent AD. Roger finds out about the Alyssa Lido tutor and gives Jim a lose-lose ultimatum. Luther finally comes through at the last minute, providing Jim with a top-secret weapon against Roger.

Coach Jan accepts the position as the Glory men's coach and attempts to get the depleted team in shape for the NCAA tournament. Unfortunately for Jim, the team fails to make the tournament. In the wake of this loss, the board of directors decide to fire Jim. Meanwhile, in the Vengeance boardroom, Luther comes up with a dirty plan to get around the zoning laws so they can build their new stadium however they please.

Glory basketball is desperate to find a new coach, but when Jim approaches Jan Bigsby, the famed women's coach, she asks him to cheat the system and get an illegal tutor for a possible recruit. While weighing the risks of this request, Jim takes a three-hour trip with the lackluster Glory University recruiting team, only to find himself at an elementary school, sizing up 10-year-olds. Luckily, he is finally able to meet a college prospect and finagle a deal that will have him playing at Glory within the year.

In his attempts to keep Coach Wayne with Glory, Jim meets with Wayne and Roger to settle a deal, and is willing to double Wayne's salary. But in order to scrounge up the money for this new salary within 24 hours, Jim must organize a fundraiser aimed toward alumni. Though Chancellor Devereaux has been discharged from the hospital, his health is once again thrown into question when Coach Wayne announces to the press that he will be the new coach of the Louisiana Vengeance.

Roger unveils his new NBA expansion team, the Lousiana Vengeance, which is backed by a Russian billionaire. Jim attempts to work with Luther, promising him a meeting with DIRECTV in return for getting the Vengeance to drop their persuit of Coach Wayne. Meanwhile, Coach Wilshire's sexy screen test goes viral on the web after an unexpected leak by Roger, his new talent agent.

The potential loss of famed basketball coach Jarrod Wayne could cost Glory University a plethora of future basketball players who have already agreed to attend the university in order to play under his tutelage. Jim pressures Coach Wayne to re-sign his contract -- until he finds out that Wayne is now represented by none other than his arch nemesis, Roger Seething. Thinking quickly, Jim then tries to divert attention to the women's team as Coach Jan Bigsby prepares to celebrate her 800th win.

Just as crisis manager Jim Dunnigan is preparing to step down from his position as interim athletic director, Chancellor Dick Devereaux has a sudden heart attack. With Dick in the hospital, Jim finds himself embroiled in more Glory drama; two of the school's star basketball players are suddenly drafted into the European basketball pro league. It's not long before Jim finds out that his arch nemesis Roger Seething is the sports agent behind the draft picks -- the man Jim put behind bars seven years earlier.
