Ep 9. Asterisk

In the ninth episode of the second season of the legal drama series Suits, titled "Asterisk," Harvey Specter (played by Gabriel Macht) and Mike Ross (played by Patrick J. Adams) are on opposite sides of a class action suit. Harvey defends a pharmaceutical company, Ridgefield, that has been accused of withholding a cure for a rare disease, while Mike represents the victim of the disease, a high school athlete, who has lost her ability to walk due to the lack of treatment.

The case takes a complex turn when Harvey learns that Ridgefield did have the cure and had planned to release it, but was stopped by the FDA. Harvey tries to use this information to his advantage and convince the judge to dismiss the case, but Mike won't let his client's justice slip away that easily. Meanwhile, Louis Litt (played by Rick Hoffman) finds himself in a tough spot when a former colleague threatens to sue him for stealing his idea.

As the case progresses, the tension between Harvey and Mike escalates, as they each try to find evidence that will strengthen their side and prove the other wrong. Complicating matters is the fact that Rachel Zane (played by Meghan Markle), who is Mike's love interest, is also working on the case as an intern at the law firm.
