Daphne and Bay are still processing the news that their biological father is Angelo. And to make matters worse, Regina just revealed that he has been funding the girls' college education. Daphne tries to process this information while getting ready for a big interview for a medical school scholarship. She practices with Wilkie, a fellow student who she has been tutoring. They joke around and seem to have a good time, but there is an undercurrent of tension between them. Meanwhile, Bay is struggling with her art, and finds comfort in talking to her father, who is excited to have a relationship with her and Daphne.

At the interview, Daphne is confronted by a surprise ambush. The interviewer, Professor Whitcomb, wants to know more about her background. He grills her about the choice that she made to go to a deaf school, and challenges her to explain why it makes her a better candidate for medical school. Daphne is caught off guard, but tries to explain that her experiences have given her a unique perspective on healthcare. However, when the interview is over, she feels like she didn't do well.

Meanwhile, Bay is trying to finish a mural that she has been commissioned to paint for her school. She is struggling with the composition, and can't seem to get it right. Her dad suggests that she try sketching some ideas, and gives her some advice about how to approach it. Bay is inspired by his words, and heads back to her studio to work.

When Daphne gets back to the dorms, she runs into Wilkie in the elevator. He invites her to come with him to a party, but she declines, citing her interview stress. However, when she gets back to her room, she realizes she left her phone in the elevator. She goes back to retrieve it, and ends up getting dragged into Wilkie's party against her will.

At the party, Daphne feels out of place. Wilkie is the life of the party, and she can't keep up with his energy. She ends up getting a drink dumped on her, much to her embarrassment. When she tries to leave, Wilkie grabs her arm and pulls her back. He tells her that he knows about Angelo funding her and Bay's college education, and implies that she owes him something in return. Daphne is horrified, and realizes that Wilkie has a much darker side than she ever realized.

Bay is still working on her mural when she gets a surprise visit from an old friend, Emmett. They catch up, and Bay tells him about her newfound relationship with Angelo. Emmett is surprised, but happy for her. He tells her that he has been struggling with his own artistic inspiration, and is feeling lost. Bay invites him to help her finish her mural, and the two of them bond over their shared creativity.

Back at the party, Daphne is trying desperately to leave, but Wilkie won't let her. He keeps making suggestive comments, and she realizes that he is expecting her to do something with him in return for Angelo's money. Daphne is terrified, but manages to escape when another girl distracts Wilkie. She runs back to the dorms, shaken.

Bay and Emmett finish the mural, and Bay is pleased with how it turned out. Emmett confesses that he still has feelings for her, and Bay is surprised. She tells him that she values him as a friend, but can't see them being anything more. Emmett is disappointed, but understands.

The episode ends with Daphne processing her traumatic experience at the party, and Bay feeling conflicted about her feelings towards Angelo.
