Ep 2. In the Dark

In the second episode of the eighth season of Teen Mom 2, titled "In the Dark", the cameras continue to follow the lives of four young mothers who are struggling to balance motherhood, relationships, and their own personal ambitions.

The episode begins with Chelsea, who is still pregnant and preparing for the arrival of her third child. She and her husband, Cole, take a birthing class and start making plans for their new baby. Meanwhile, Adam, Chelsea's ex-boyfriend and the father of her first daughter, has not been involved in his daughter's life and fails to show up for a visitation appointment yet again.

Next, the show features Briana, who is trying to find a new place to live after her relationship with her boyfriend, Luis, fell apart. She considers moving out of state to be closer to her sister, but ultimately decides to stay in Florida. Meanwhile, Briana is also trying to navigate her relationship with her baby's father, Devon, who is rarely around and often unreliable.

Kailyn, who has three children by three different fathers, is also featured in this episode as she copes with the aftermath of a physical altercation with her ex-husband, Javi. She confides in her friend, and also her producer, about the incident and expresses her concerns about how it could affect her custody arrangements. Kailyn also reveals her fears about her ex-boyfriend, Chris, who she believes may be the cause of some negative rumors that are circulating about her.

Finally, the show takes a closer look at Jenelle, a troubled and controversial member of the cast who has been involved in a variety of legal troubles over the years. Jenelle is struggling to deal with rumors that she is currently pregnant with her fourth child, despite stirring controversy with her previous parenting behaviour. She participates in some retail therapy with her mother, and also attends court for a hearing related to her ongoing custody battle over her older son, Jace.

Throughout the episode, there are plenty of dramatic moments, as the young mothers face challenges and setbacks. Each of the four women has their own unique set of struggles and trying to find their way in a world that is not always supportive or forgiving.

Despite the challenges, however, the mothers continue to persevere and strive to be the best parents they can be for their children. As their journeys unfold, viewers are left to ponder the broader issues of parenthood, relationships, and the challenges of growing up in a modern world.
