Texas Car Wars is a reality show from the Discovery Channel. The show follows four car shops as they bid on cars from junk yards. The winner of the car then does a full body restore on the vehicle and then tries to sell the car for the highest price possible. Texas Car Wars focuses on four shops; Atomic Garage, Barrett Auto Care, Old Skool Kustoms and Rodriguez Rod & Cycle. Bidding wars for prime vehicles can be intense and each shop is willing to do whatever it takes to win the auction and make the most out of their re-done custom automobile.

One of the main shops on Texas Car Wars is Atomic Garage. Atomic Garage is led by Ken, Marty, Mike and Sarah. They are new to the auction business, but don't let their lack of experience hold them back from getting the cars they want. Barrett Auto Care is run by Beep and Holley, a husband and wife team. They are often at odds over which cars they want to purchase, but come together in trouble, especially when Holley is diagnosed with breast cancer.

Old Skool Kustoms is another shop that bids on cars to bring in the money on Texas Car Wars. This particular shop is run by Big Block, Dennis and Frank. Old Skool Kustoms and its crew are considered experts on car auction bidding and they have deep pockets to help them win the cars they want for their shop. Many of the younger shops are intimidated by the sheer amount of experience this threesome has. Last, but not least, the final shop followed by Texas Car Wars is Rodriguez Rod & Cycle. Joey, the head of Rodriguez Rod & Cycle, isn't the average car bidder as he works out of his backyard and tends to do more extreme car makeovers than the other shops.

Texas Car Wars is a great show for viewers who are interested in old cars and the steps and money that go in to refurbishing them and bringing them back to their former glory.
