Ep 1. Wheel of Fortune

In the first episode of The Dead Zone, entitled "Wheel of Fortune," we are introduced to Johnny Smith, a schoolteacher in rural Maine who is engaged to Sarah, a fellow educator. On their way home from a fair, Johnny's car is struck by a truck, and he is left in a coma for six years. When he wakes up, he discovers that he has gained extraordinary psychic abilities.

Despite the tumultuous events of the episode, Johnny remains steadfast in his determination to use his gift for good, and his unwavering sense of justice and compassion helps him to ultimately triumph over evil.
