Through further investigation, Johnny learns that the current owner of the house, a wealthy businessman named Roger Bennet (played by Richard Blackburn), has been using it as a hideaway to escape his troubled marriage.

Johnny's investigation takes a darker turn as he uncovers a web of deceit and corruption involving the town's mayor and other prominent citizens. As he gets closer to the truth, he becomes the target of those who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets safe.

"The House" is a gripping and atmospheric episode that explores themes of guilt, redemption, and the supernatural. Anthony Michael Hall delivers a nuanced and compelling performance as Johnny, whose psychic abilities give him a unique perspective on the mysteries of Cleaves Mills. The episode also features strong supporting performances from the rest of the cast, particularly Chris Bruno as the tough yet compassionate Sheriff Bannerman.
