Ep 12. Gesundheit, Darling

Rob and Laura have dinner with Jerry and Millie Helper. Jerry appears to have a cold, but Millie insists he's not sick and says "gesundheit" every time he sneezes. The next day, Rob and Laura discover they've both caught Jerry's cold. Rob decides to stay home from work, but not before he inadvertently infects Buddy with the cold. Laura, however, goes to a shopping center with Millie and ends up fainting in a department store.

Worried about Laura, Rob rushes home to check on her. When he finds out she's fainted, he takes her to the doctor. The doctor tells him that Laura is not only sick, but she's also two months pregnant. Rob, who is thrilled with the news, rushes out of the doctor's office to spread the good news to everyone he knows. However, when he gets back to the office, he finds himself unable to tell Buddy or Mel about the pregnancy because they've all come down with Jerry's cold.

As the day progresses, Rob receives a call from Laura, who is still feeling sick and wants him to come home to take care of her. Rob frets about what to do since he's been exposed to the cold, and he doesn't want to infect Laura any further. He decides to send Buddy over to take care of her instead. Buddy's odd behavior while taking care of Laura causes Rob to run back to the house to check on his wife.

After getting himself thoroughly disinfected, Rob finally reaches his wife only to find Buddy trying to win her affections. Furious, Rob confronts Buddy, who admits to having feelings for Laura. As the two men argue, Laura wakes up feeling better and puts a stop to their squabbling. She tells Rob that she too has feelings for Buddy, but that she loves Rob more than anything and that she always will. The three friends make up and all is forgiven.

The episode ends with a hilarious scene in which Rob and Laura try to put up a Christmas tree, with Rob's cold causing him to sneeze and cough as he tries to untangle the lights. Laura tries to help by handing him a tissue, but ends up blowing her own nose into it instead. The two of them laugh at their predicament, happy to be together and eagerly looking forward to the new addition to their family.
