Ep 9. Limo One is Missing

Bo and Luke Duke are at it again! Season 1 Episode 9 of The Dukes of Hazzard is titled Limo One is Missing, and it opens with Boss Hogg thinking he has hit the jackpot when he sees a limousine at the train depot. He believes that famous celebrities are in town, and he will do anything to meet them. He sets a plan in motion to steal the limousine and impress the “stars” but what he doesn’t know is that the limousine is not abandoned. The Secret Service is transporting a foreign leader, and they are keeping a close eye on the car.

The leader of the foreign country finally arrives, and Agent Daniel Forthright is there to welcome him. The two men exchange pleasantries, but as they are preparing to leave the train depot, they find out that the limousine is missing! Agent Forthright can't believe that their ride has been stolen, and he calls for back up. He doesn't want to waste any more time, and he knows that he can trust Bo and Luke Duke – the guys that can get anything done!

Bo and Luke are helping out on the Duke farm when Agent Forthright comes by to enlist their help. The two cousins are excited to help, and they immediately start tracking down the stolen limousine. They find out that Boss Hogg took the car, and they go to confront him. Boss Hogg tries to play dumb and pretends he didn’t take the car, but the Duke boys can see through his lies.

As Bo and Luke are questioning Boss Hogg, Daisy Duke, the true star of the episode, rolls up in her bright blue Jeep. She is sporting some short shorts and a crop top, and she has some information that could help the boys find the stolen car. Daisy ran into some of Boss Hogg’s henchmen and overheard them talking about the limousine while she was on her way to the county fair. She tells Bo and Luke where they can find the stolen car.

The Duke boys head to the location Daisy gave them, but they are not able to find the car anywhere. They start to investigate and quickly realize that Boss Hogg has already sold the car to a guy named Vern. Vern is an out of towner who is in town for a demolition derby, and Boss Hogg sold him the car for $10,000. Bo and Luke know that they need to get the car back, and fast!

The Duke boys come up with a plan to get the car back. They disguise themselves as Vern's pit crew and get to work. They remove all of the important car parts, and before they know it, they have the car back in working condition. The boys and Agent Forthright head back to the train depot to return the car to its rightful owner.

Once they return the limousine to the Secret Service, Agent Forthright is thrilled! The foreign leader is impressed with Bo and Luke, and he invites them to his country for a visit. As the episode closes, Agent Forthright is talking to the Duke boys about all of the great things they can do in his country. Daisy pops up, saying that she wants to go too, and the episode ends with a shot of the group walking towards the sunset.

The Dukes of Hazzard has been a staple in American television since the late 70s, and this episode is a prime example of why it was so popular. The episode is full of action, adventure, and humor. Bo and Luke are the ultimate good guys, and Daisy is the ultimate eye candy. The Dukes of Hazzard Season 1 Episode 9 is a must-watch for anyone who loves classic TV shows and good old-fashioned fun!
