The Finder is a crime-based, comedic drama show that aired on the FOX network in 2012. Developed by Hart Hanson, this show was a spin-off of the popular drama "Bones" and was based on "The Locator," a book series by Richard Greener. The show's protagonist is Walter Sherman, played by Geoff Stults, a former military man who suffered a brain injury in Iraq that left him with a unique ability to find anything. Sherman becomes a locator and is highly sought after to solve impossible cases, and he never gives up until he finds what he is looking for.

Teaming up with Sherman is bar owner, Leo Knox played by Michael Clarke Duncan, the muscle of the duo who helps out in tracking down leads and interrogating suspects.

The show also introduces Deputy US Marshall Isabel Zambada (Mercedes Mason), who works alongside Sherman in solving cases. Maddie Hasson plays Willa Monday, a juvenile delinquent who Sherman takes under his wing and becomes his assistant. Toby Hemingway appears as Timo Proud, Willa's boyfriend, who often gets involved in the cases they solve.

The Finder's format is a combination of a procedural and a comedic drama. Each episode sees Sherman, Knox and their team assisting the authorities in solving seemingly unsolvable cases. The stakes are high, and the consequences of failure are severe, which leads to humorous situations.

Despite its roots in the "Bones," The Finder had its unique style and tone that set it apart from the crime dramas that dominated the TV landscape. The show's lighthearted humor is carried by Sherman's quirks, including his inability to distinguish faces and a heightened sense of hearing, which often gets him into comical situations.

The show was filmed in Florida, and the location provided the show with a unique visual appeal. The Finder had a bright color palette and stylized camera work that added to its visual appeal.

However, the show's blend of humor and drama had a difficult time finding a balance, and it failed to gain traction with viewers. Moreover, the show's future was also marred by the death of Michael Clarke Duncan, who played the show's second lead character, Leo Knox.

Despite The Finder's lack of success, it had a loyal fanbase, who appreciated its unorthodox style and its cast's performances. The Finder was a unique show that defied labels and was ahead of its time.

The Finder is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (13 episodes). The series first aired on January 12, 2012.
