The Glee Project is a reality competition show that aired for two seasons on the Oxygen network. Each episode features a group of young performers who compete for a guest spot on the hit television show, Glee. The performers are given weekly challenges, which test their singing, dancing, and acting abilities.

In season 1, episode 7, named Sexuality, the contestants are tasked with exploring the theme of sexuality in their performances. Throughout the episode, they work with Glee's choreographers and vocal coaches to prepare for their group performance, as well as their individual auditions for the guest spot.

The episode opens with mentor Robert Ulrich discussing the importance of portraying characters with authenticity and vulnerability. He encourages the performers to tap into their own experiences with sexuality and use that in their performances. The contestants then meet with Glee's choreographer, Zach Woodlee, and work on a dance number to the song "I Wanna Sex You Up" by Color Me Badd.

The contestants are divided into two groups, with each group getting their own solo parts in the performance. As they rehearse, Zach emphasizes the need for the performers to connect with the sensual nature of the song while maintaining a level of professionalism.

Next, the contestants meet with Glee's vocal producer, Nikki Anders, to work on the harmonies for the song. They struggle to find a balance between the sexual nature of the lyrics and the need to harmonize as a group.

For their music video challenge, the contestants are asked to perform the song "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry, which was featured on Glee. They are divided into pairs and given a specific scenario to act out in the video. One pair portrays a couple going through a rough patch in their relationship, while another pair portrays two friends who are secretly in love with each other.

The contestants struggle to find the right balance between portraying their characters authentically and creating a compelling performance for the video. Some of the performers worry about being judged for their own personal experiences with sexuality.

During their one-on-one auditions for the guest spot on Glee, many of the performers choose to perform songs that relate to their own experiences with sexuality. Some performers choose to perform songs that are more sexual in nature, while others choose songs that have a more emotional connection.

In the end, one of the contestants is eliminated based on her overall performance throughout the episode. The remaining performers continue on in the competition, with the hope of winning the guest spot on Glee.

Overall, the theme of sexuality is handled in a mature and responsible manner throughout the episode. The producers are careful to handle the topic with sensitivity, while still pushing the performers to explore their own personal experiences. The episode ends with a powerful performance by the remaining contestants, which showcases their growth and development as performers.
