The Inbetweeners is a raunchy and hilarious comedy series that premiered on MTV in 2012, based on the original British series of the same name. The show focuses on four friends - Will (Joey Pollari), Simon (Bubba Lewis), Jay (Mark L. Young), and Neil (Zack Pearlman) - as they navigate their way through high school, awkward situations, and their own personal struggles.

Will is the new kid in school, having just moved to town from a posh private school. He quickly discovers that his old ways of making friends and impressing girls don't quite work in his new environment, and he finds himself struggling to fit in with the more average kids. Simon is Will's best friend, and he's hopelessly in love with a girl named Carly (Alex Frnka). Unfortunately for him, Carly is dating his arch-nemesis, the school jock, and Simon often finds himself getting beaten up in his attempts to win her over.

Jay is the resident loudmouth and self-proclaimed ladies' man of the group, constantly boasting about his prowess with the opposite sex (even though it's clear that he's never actually had a girlfriend). Meanwhile, Neil is the lovable goofball of the group, always eager to please everyone and always up for a good time (even if it means getting himself into trouble).

Throughout the course of the series, the boys find themselves in a variety of hilarious and embarrassing situations, from accidentally taking drugs at a house party to dealing with awkward family situations to attempting to impress their crushes. Along the way, they learn some valuable life lessons about friendship, loyalty, and the importance of being true to oneself.

One of the standout features of The Inbetweeners is its cringe-worthy humor, which manages to be both hilarious and uncomfortable at the same time. From the boys' painfully awkward attempts at wooing girls to their disastrous attempts at rebellion, the show is full of moments that will make viewers both laugh and cringe in equal measure.

Another strength of the series is its strong character development, which allows each of the boys to shine in their own unique way. Will, in particular, is a compelling protagonist, as he grapples with the challenges of being a fish out of water in a new school and the feelings of insecurity and inadequacy that come with it. Meanwhile, Simon's unrequited love for Carly adds a relatable touch of teenage angst to the series, while Jay and Neil provide plenty of comic relief with their larger-than-life personalities.

Overall, The Inbetweeners is a refreshing and entertaining comedy series that manages to strike the perfect balance between crude humor and heartwarming moments. While it may not be appropriate for younger audiences due to its frequent use of profanity and sexual innuendo, for older viewers it's a must-watch series that showcases the talents of its young cast and the clever writing of its creators.

The Inbetweeners is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (12 episodes). The series first aired on August 20, 2012.
