Ep 17. Inner Tube

Doug and Carrie have been invited to spend a weekend at Lou Ferrigno's (played by himself) house in the Hamptons. Doug is excited to be hanging out with the Incredible Hulk, but Carrie is less than thrilled about spending the weekend with a bunch of bodybuilding enthusiasts. However, she agrees to go along with it for Doug's sake.

Once they arrive, Doug and Carrie quickly discover that Lou's pals are even more obsessed with working out than he is. They spend the entire weekend doing things like jogging, lifting weights, and rock climbing, all of which prove to be far too strenuous for the out-of-shape couple. Even worse, they're forced to wear incredibly unflattering spandex outfits that leave little to the imagination.

Things come to a head when Doug accidentally gets stuck in a children's inner tube while trying to go tubing behind Lou's boat. Despite his best efforts, he can't seem to wiggle himself free, and everyone else is too busy working out to help him. Meanwhile, Carrie is feeling left out and unappreciated, and begins to worry that Doug is more interested in working out than being with her.

As the weekend goes on, Doug and Carrie both learn some valuable lessons about the importance of balance in life. Doug realizes that he needs to take better care of himself if he wants to enjoy life to the fullest, while Carrie comes to appreciate the importance of being supportive of her husband's interests, even if they're not her cup of tea.

In the end, Doug manages to extricate himself from the inner tube with the help of Lou's young daughter, who proves to be the only one small enough to climb onto the boat and give him a push. Carrie, meanwhile, manages to wow the other guests by revealing her hidden talent for bodybuilding poses, something she learned from her dad as a child.
