Ep 18. Steve Moscow

Doug and Carrie's neighbor, Steve Moscow, asks them to watch his son Adam while he's out of town on business. At first, Doug and Carrie are excited to babysit because they think it will be an easy way to make some extra cash. However, they quickly realize that Adam is a handful and they're in over their heads.

Meanwhile, Spence is feeling insecure about his relationship with Lou Ferrigno's daughter, Emily. He's convinced that she's out of his league and that she's going to dump him soon. To make matters worse, Emily brings up the subject of marriage and Spence is completely caught off guard.

Back at the Heffernan's house, Doug and Carrie are struggling to keep up with Adam's demands. He wants to play games, watch movies, and eat junk food all night long. At one point, he even climbs up onto the roof of their house to retrieve his lost frisbee. Frustrated with the situation, Carrie suggests that they take Adam to a carnival to tire him out.

At the carnival, Doug and Carrie lose track of Adam and panic sets in. They search the crowds, but can't find him anywhere. Just when they think the worst has happened, they spot Adam on a ride and breathe a sigh of relief. They're grateful that everything turned out okay, but they're also relieved when Steve comes home and takes Adam off their hands.

Meanwhile, Spence and Emily are having a heart-to-heart conversation about their future together. Emily tells Spence that she loves him and wants to be with him forever, but she doesn't want to rush into anything. Spence agrees, but still feels insecure about their relationship.

In the end, Doug and Carrie realize that babysitting isn't as easy as they thought it would be. They're glad to have their house back to themselves and they decide to use the money they earned to go out for a fancy dinner. Meanwhile, Spence and Emily make up and enjoy a romantic moment together.
