Ep 10. Long Live the Queen

After an intense confrontation with the Red Lotus, the Earth Queen’s life hangs in the balance. Korra and the rest of Team Avatar hurry to the Dai Li headquarters to see if they can save her, but their hopes are quickly dashed when they find out the Earth Queen has already passed away. As they search for clues about the Red Lotus’ next move, they soon discover that their target is to take out the other world leaders and establish a new world order.

Meanwhile, Prince Wu is overwhelmed with the news of his aunt’s death and the prospect of becoming the new Earth King. Mako tries to help him navigate the political landscape and prepare him for his new responsibilities. Bolin, on the other hand, is torn between helping his brother and staying with his newly found family in the Earth Kingdom.

Asami and Varrik continue their escape from Ba Sing Se, but are intercepted by Ming-Hua and Ghazan of the Red Lotus. In a daring fight sequence, Asami and Varrik use their ingenuity to survive long enough for Korra and the others to come to their rescue.

The episode also delves into the backstory of Zaheer and P'Li's relationship. We see how their love for each other and their shared ideology of anarchism brought them together, but we also see the cracks in their relationship as Zaheer’s thirst for power becomes more apparent.
